My name is Scott Armour and I am a member of the Kingdom Of Fife Group of Advanced Motorists.
I currently live in Dunfermline with my wife and 2 daughters and I work in Edinburgh for an Australian software company.
Although I passed my IAM test back in 1993 (in Ayr) five years after passing my standard driving test, I only joined the Kingdom Of Fife Group in 2005 after moving to the area.
As well as being an Observer for the Kingdom Of Fife Group, I am also a member of the Committee, with my current roles being Treasurer, Chief Observer and Webmaster.
I currently develop and maintain the Fife IAM website, so if you have any suggestions of what you'd like to see added to this site then please let me know (you can do this by clicking here).
So, what's this Advanced Driving and IAM all about then ? Let's start off by getting rid of the most common misconceptions - it's no more about driving everywhere at 55mph than it is about driving like a lunatic doing handbrake turns !
It is about Driving Safely and using Observation and Anticipation to allow you to make good progress whilst allowing for the mistakes of other road users.
Sounds simple enough ?    Feel up to the challenge ?    Why don't you give it a try ?
